Therapaeds is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team.
We are looking for a passionate professional with the following qualifications and skills:
- A minimum of 5 years of pediatric experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply for alternative roles within the organization.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese is optional but advantageous.
- Preference will be given to candidates with training in Sensory Integration or those willing to undertake this qualification.
- Prior experience in private practice is desirable but not essential.
- Exceptional report-writing skills, with an emphasis on accurate and comprehensive documentation.
- Possession of a valid practicing license issued by the Hong Kong SAR.
- Valid HKID and dependent visa (if not a permanent resident).
- A flexible, adaptable approach committed to a child-led, family-centered model of intervention.

- Possess a doctorate in psychology from an accredited university.
- Minimum 7 years of experience.

- Are experienced or interested in working collaboratively with therapists, educators, and families to support holistic development.

We are offering a supervised clinical internship for OT students (undergraduate, entry‑level master’s, or doctoral) seeking hands-on pediatric experience. Interns will observe, assist, and progressively participate in assessments, intervention planning under licensed OT supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Observe and assist with pediatric assessments (sensory, motor, ADLs, visual perception, executive function).
- Support and co‑facilitate play‑based and task‑oriented therapy sessions.
- Help design and implement individualized home and school programs, visual supports, and sensory strategies.
- Participate in goal‑setting, documentation, and outcome tracking.
- Contribute to resource materials.
- Assist in the day to day responsibilities at the clinic.
- Learning outcomes
- Develop clinical reasoning and goal‑writing skills for pediatric practice.
- Gain experience with sensory integration, regulation strategies, DIR/Floortime, and family‑centered interventions.
- Learn practical strategies for school and community collaboration and interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Build competency in assessment administration, intervention planning, and progress measurement.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited OT program (undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral).
- Up‑to‑date immunizations and any required clearances for clinic/school placements.
- Professionalism, strong communication, reliability, and enthusiasm for pediatric practice.
- Prior experience with children or pediatric coursework preferred but not required.
Placement details
- Duration: flexible; typical placements 8–16 weeks (hours negotiable to meet academic requirements).
- Supervision: provided by licensed pediatric occupational therapists.
- Location: clinic-based with possible school visits.
